Vanessa Ferguson is the accomplished attorney of Fidara Legal, PLLC, in Tampa, Florida. Her spectrum of expertise includes intellectual property, contract law, and business law services. A Florida native, Vanessa obtained her bachelor’s degree in criminology, with a minor in legal studies from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg before pursuing her law degree from Dayton University. While obtaining her law degree, Vanessa pursued extensive studies in intellectual property, the Internet of Things, and privacy issues related to both subjects. During law school, Vanessa also worked at the University of Dayton’s Office of Legal Affairs where she learned first-hand how to protectively address various liability issues of large corporations.
Vanessa is a seasoned business contract lawyer, small business formation lawyer, and an authority on contract law and business incorporation. She possesses vast experience drafting, interpreting, and enforcing legally binding agreements, commonly known as contracts. Her experience in contract law services covers all aspects, including the formation of contracts, the terms and conditions within contracts, and the remedies available for breach of contract agreements.
Vanessa is a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). Both certifications demonstrate her ability to draft appropriate contracts that adequately implement data protection practices, frameworks, and United States privacy laws, and contribute to the growth of technology-backed small businesses and corporations.
